Privacy policy

How we use your personal information.

This notice explains how Ten-Percent.co.uk Limited handles personal information through Yorkshire Legal Recruitment. Last updated 16 August 2026.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Ten-Percent.co.uk Limited, which operates Yorkshire Legal Recruitment and other Ten Percent Group recruitment services.

Head office: Ty Brith, Llandegla Road, Llanarmon-yn-Ial, Mold, CH7 4QX. Privacy enquiries may be sent to cv@ten-percent.co.uk or made by telephone on 0800 246 5001.

2. Information we collect

Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect identity and contact details; CV, employment, education, qualification and professional-status information; job preferences, availability, salary or rate expectations and right-to-work information; interview, reference, compliance and placement information; employer contacts and vacancy briefs; correspondence; and technical information such as IP address, browser type, server logs and security events.

Information may come directly from you, an employer, a referee, public professional sources, a job board, another group website or a source you have authorised.

Please do not send special category or criminal-offence information unless it is genuinely required for a role or compliance process and we have asked for it. Where necessary, we identify an additional legal condition for processing it.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to provide candidate, employer and locum recruitment services; assess potential matches; make agreed introductions; manage interviews, offers, placements and assignments; complete proportionate checks; respond to enquiries; maintain business records; protect our systems; meet legal obligations; and send relevant vacancy or service updates where permitted.

We do not sell personal information and do not use this website to make solely automated recruitment decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, we rely on steps before or performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligation. Legitimate interests include operating a specialist recruitment service, maintaining relevant records, matching candidates and employers, improving services and protecting systems, where those interests are not overridden by individual rights.

Your right to object: you may object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing. We will stop direct marketing when asked. Other objections will be considered against any compelling legitimate grounds or legal claims.

5. Who we share information with

Information may be shared with prospective employers, clients or candidates as part of an agreed recruitment process; relevant Ten Percent Group services; technology, hosting, communications, compliance and professional providers; referees, screening providers or professional bodies where permitted; and courts, regulators or law enforcement where disclosure is required.

Candidate details are not intended for indiscriminate circulation. If a provider processes information outside the UK, we use an applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards required by data protection law.

Typical retention periods are:

RecordTypical period

Periods may be extended where law, a dispute, safeguarding or the establishment or defence of legal claims requires it. We use organisational and technical measures designed to protect information, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed, access information, correct it, request erasure or restriction, object, receive certain information in a portable format, withdraw consent and raise concerns about solely automated decisions. Some rights depend on the lawful basis and context. We may need to verify identity before responding.
